East Bay Housing Inventory July 2010

Months of Inventory for East Bay Housing

The Months of Inventory in the twenty-six communities measured on average are increasing for the last several months of 2010, July 2.86, June 2.60,  May 2.40 & July 2009 was 1.77.

We buyers a getting a little more inventory to look at.  Less than three months of inventory is still very low as the National Association of Realtors states that on a national average six month of inventory is a balenced market.

Interest rates are at an all time low 4.50% for a conforming 30 year fixed rate loan.  With low prices and low interest rates that is a window of opportunity for buyers.  Prices and interest rates will increase as the economy recovers.
