Paul and I were in Brentwood, California again looking over about 40 REOs (bank owned properties) for a group of investors. It is absolutely unbelievable what can be purchased for $250K – $325K. In general, we were looking at 5–year old, 4 bedroom homes with 2.5 baths.

Most of these Brentwood foreclosures were in reasonably good shape. A little paint, some carpet cleaning, yard clean up and a person could move in. Fifteen thousand dollars invested in rejuvenation would pretty much give you a new home.

Investors are flocking into the Brentwood area. Here’s why:
