ADAS Musicians Need New Digs to Keep on Jammin'
The San Francisco Business Times has an article about a mixed-use project for downtown Danville, California that will affect the artists and musicians that are using some of the space to be redeveloped.
Developer Brad Blake hopes to create a 14,000 square foot, $8 million project that will include 6 residential units above commercial space. The location is 522-24 Hartz avenue in Danville. The Alamo Danville Artists Society and Pioneer Art Gallery & Studios currently have use of some of the space.
"Brad Blake has been a generous supporter of ADAS and the gallery," said Stephen Sanfillipo, ADAS member.
ADAS member artists will need to find new workspace and exhibition space. Additionally, the Thursday night jam session will have to find new digs.
I recommend everyone get to at least one jam session before everything gets All Shook Up in a bulldozer kind of way.
Artists and musicians are unique and exclectic individuals.
I always have to sneak in a picture of my buddy Dennis Viers on bass – now sporting chin whiskers.
Here's a pic with Craig on flute and Roger Patterson on harmonica.
Leroy Parker wins the award for most colorful. Check out his website for samples of his art.
And then there is this week's technology whiz – Michael – with more pedal to the metal than any NASCAR star.
