Bay Area Sports Fans – Spoiled or Blessed
The Bay Area is a Sports Fan's Paradise
We have two NFL teams, the Oakland Raiders and the San Francisco 49-ers, an NBA team, the Golden State Warriors; a great hockey team in San Jose, the San Jose Sharks, also in San Jose we have a MLS soccer team, the San Jose Earthquakes. Furthermore we have two MLB teams, the Oakland A’s and the San Francisco Giants.
Combined with the great weather most of the time we are very fortunate to spend an afternoon in one of the sports parks and enjoy a great ball game. Several of the parks are brand new and offer great facilities to the sports fans. Some of the teams are going through the discussion and process of rebuilding or moving the team within the Bay Area like the Oakland A’s; rumors are that they will move to San Jose which is still in the Bay Area and easy accessible by car or BART; the Bay Area Rapid Transportation system.
I almost forgot one other great sports event; every year we have an Indy car event in either San Jose or Sonoma Speedway. Being a sports fan in the Bay Area with all the choice we have I almost feel spoiled, or are we just blessed?
