Cost of a New Roof Going Up 25%

Homeowners in Danville, San Ramon and surrounding communities with homes that may need a new roof should have it replaced before the first of the year. Title 24, Section 6 – California's Energy Efficiency Standards for Residential and Nonresidential Buildings requires that most new roofs installed after 1/1/10 have a "cool roof coating." The cool roof coating is going to increase the cost of your new roof about 25%.
