What's the Old rule?
如果您擁有房地產五年並至少在這棟房子居住2年,您便能享受CAPITAL GAIN 免稅扣抵額的最大扣除額
What's the New rule:
關於Internal Revenue code, Section 121有關 自家住宅銷售CAPITAL GAIN免稅扣抵額的部份只适用于自己居住期間。換句話說,雖然您擁有房地產五年並至少在這棟房子居住2年但不住在這棟房子的期間便不能享有免稅扣抵額

When will be changed:
Effective January 1, 2009

Who will be effected:
在房子住二年,屋主搬出去後並出租這棟房子。
