ADAS – Danville Muscians Jam
I stopped by ADAS – Alamo Danville Artists Society- on Hartz Avenue in Danville, CA last night to watch Dennis & Craig jam. Craig, has been inviting me to drop by for over a month now. This is a weekly jam session held every Thursday night for any and all musicians – local & passing through.
Dave Belomy, a friend and fellow
Realtor, also showed up to "grind his axe." Dave has a band called the Groove Doctors which is very popular in the Bay Area. I've seen the Groove Doctors perform a few times and I have to say, Dave is a real entertainer. His entire focus is on the audience having a good time.
Craig Harper & Dennis Viers have played at several local Danville – San Ramon events with their crew – Still Rockin'
I sat down with Stephen Sanfilippo & Phil for a quick interview on ADAS and the jam session connection

It was a great evening. Dave Belomy from the Groove Doctors sat in and played my bass while I played a very mean cowbell! Thank god for 12 bar blues when we have that many guitars. LeRoy: you gotta jam next time!

Thanks to my favorite Bro for coming down and interviewing Stephen and Phil about the art gallery and the great music venue they provide for musicians to Jam. FYI – three of our favorite jammers (Ted, Michael and Richie) will be performing at the Yellow Wood Coffee house in Alamo on Dec. 12 around 7pm. Be sure and stop by if you can.
Cheers,
Craig Harper
Thanks to Craig and John for spreading the word about our Thursday night music jam at the Pioneer Art Gallery. I always look forward to see if we get some new musicians each week. The amount of talent out there is amazing and I’m so glad we have a venue where we can share our skills.

I checked the Grove Doctors website. It just dawned on me that I’ve seen them play at the Mainstreet Brewery in Pleasanton. They put on a good show and get the place rocking.

Craig,
That was really nice to be able to play my mandolin on Margaritaville and Dead flowers. I’ve been wanting to play it at the jam, but was a little skeptical about how it would work out. It inspired me to practice a bunch tonight on it. My fingers are sore. Let’s try it again next week. It’ll should sound better then.
