If there is one thing I really enjoy about Danville, CA it's the restaurants. There are just some fine places to eat. Yesterday, I was back at Amber Bistro with Craig & Tracey the other 2/3rds of The Harper Team. We had a really enjoyable lunch – ahi tuna salad, BBQ pulled pork salad, and a grilled chicken sandwich – delightful. Eric Jansen and the staff made us feel like stockholders.
The outside of Amber Bistro was getting some fresh paint and Eric advises that their outdoor cafe seating should be ready for the summer season.
Today, I ran down to Domenicos for lunch. Domenicos serves the best deli sandwiches. The only other thing I have tried are the chocolate chip cookies – which I have to avoid these days. Usually, Craig and I will come here for a quick turkey sandwich with all the fixin's. Today was tuna and swiss on rye – tasty. No wonder the line is usually out the door.
I recommend both Amber Bistro and Domenicos – and for that matter – Danville, CA as well!
