Digital Portable Toilets
The San Francisco Bay Area now has digital toilets. This includes the East Bay, the South Bay and the Peninsula.
I was talking to my buddy, Todd Fitch (owner Hanson & Fitch), the other day and he informed me that he has spent the last two weeks installing GPS units on his portable toilets. Hanson and Fitch is a temporary site services company, meaning they provide temporary fencing, portable toilets and fresh water tanks to construction sites or event sites.
Each portable toilet has an iButton attached. This chip allows Hanson & Fitch to know where their portable toilets are at any given moment and the data is also streamed into their accounting and logistics system.
Todd told me that this technology will allow the company to grow on top of a platform that is smart business – inventory control, distribution of product and services, and control over billing. Hanson & Fitch can grow as large as they want and still manage to see the details that each customer sees on their respective job site and or event.
Portable toilets and temporary fencing are not a business many would consider going into, but Todd saw a great opportunity and purchased the 30 year old business several years ago. H&F is expanding like crazy throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Hanson & Fitch recently supplied the temporary fencing and portable toilets for the AT&T Pro Am Golf Tournament over in Monterey, California and they have been selected by Stanford University and the City of Palo Alto to provide temporary fencing and portable toilets for the upcoming Amgen California Cycle Tour.
If you have a construction site or are planning a summer music concert, a parade, a fair or any other special event and need temporary fencing, portable toilets or fresh water – give my buddy Todd a call – 1-800-847-7037
