I'll be at San Francisco State University today talking to a public relations class and an advertising class about Internet marketing and social media.
Shari Weiss, the class instructor, invited me to address both classes after Brian Johnson, a fellow member of Pleasanton BNI, recommended me to her. Brian is a franchise consultant with Franchise Inc.
Ms. Weiss is stressing the importance of the Internet and social media in PR and advertising. I recommended my friends, Pat Kitano, Dean Guadagini and Susan Howatch as experts in the field – so we will be doing a panel presentation with lots of questions and answers for the students at SFSU.
Here is the handout I will be giving to the class. I am recommending four books to them and also included a few links.

This is SFSU lecturer Shari Weiss, whose mind is still spinning with all the timely, relevant, exciting facts and opinions that John, Dean, and Pat shared with my students. Our future challenges call for creative and critical thinking from experienced and enterprising people. John, Dean and Pat are these kind of people . . . and more. My students and I were blown away by everything we heard, some disturbing news, but in total, the feeling is more like the sky’s the limit. Thanks guys.
