Walnut Creek continues to become the pre-eminent shopping destination of the East Bay. A new plan to get Neiman Marcus to come to Walnut Creek hopes to meet more public agreement than the previous proposal did last fall.
Some of the major changes call for a two story building in 92,000 square feet as opposed to a 107,000 square foot complex on three stories. Also, the parking lot only requires an addition of 175 spaces instead of 314. To free up150 more spaces for employees, a car-lifting system will be installed to save space at the five-level Broadway Plaza garage.
Nordstrom also figures to make renovations of its own at its location on Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek, although probably not employing such sci-fi sounding techniques as the car-elevator-like system Neiman Marcus is planning on. That, by itself, would be something worth seeing.

I wonder if anyone from those who voted YES knew that NM does not take Visa or Mastercard, and takes AMEX only. How many people actually do carry AMEX? I think this store will be nothing but frustration to the shopprs and will not bring any value to Walnut Creek.
