Realtors’ Marketing Association - Top Realtor Award
The votes are in and the winner is…John Harper of The Harper Mees Team. The RMA, which meets in San Ramon every Thursday, recognized John Harper as the top realtor of the quarter. John was genuinely surprised at the meeting today where he was presented with a plaque by Will Doerlich, president of the RMA.
According to Kris Viers, RMA Advisory Council member, each quarter the RMA Board of Directors chooses a Realtor and an affiliate to honor for their contributions to the organization, the real estate community and the community at large. John was nominated because of his work with the RMA in getting the new website up and running (www.rmatoday.com) and for his interest and involvement with other organizations within the industry. We know he's worked with the Women’s Council of Realtors / WCR (www.wcrccc.org) for example, in trying to get their website going as well. John attends the RMA meetings on a pretty regular basis, is always upbeat and positive, and is the ultimate "networker" which is what RMA is all about. He has done a lot to promote the Realtors' Marketing Association since he started attending - even before the website - and that has not gone unnoticed. After he was nominated, the Board quickly finalized their decision to make John their choice as Realtor of the Quarter.
Having known John for all my life, this comes as no surprise to me. John has been a true innovator in the use of technology over the years and his understanding of the Internet and marketing over the Internet is truly unique. Congratulations John! Well Deserved!!!

It was a surprise. I’m still checking to see if a mistake has been made! I don’t know how this could happen to the “tech guy.”
In all seriousness though, I believe the Realtor association meetings are one of the most under-utilized resources in the industry. Just a week ago, I was reminded how powerful they are in finding clients for our listings.
The marketing associations are the unsung heroes of the community. I don’t think the community at large is aware of how much charitable work is done by the Realtor associations and the professionals that work in the industry. I don’t know of any other professional group that is so involved with the well being of their communties.
I’m privileged and honored to be able to work with such a wonderful group of professionals. Thanks to all for this award.

I know that there is never an intent on your part to ever get any public acknowledgment for all you do to contribute to our real estate industry, but you received some today, anyway. Get over it and get used to it! And, I know you blow off compliments because it is embarrassing to have the spot light on you in any manner. Get over it and get used to it! I appreciate you so much, and so do your fellow HarperMees Team members, our KW office, and our entire community that you jumped into several years ago. I am delighted to be considered your friend. Now, get over it and get back to work! Have fun tonight taking a moment to celebrate your peers shouting out loud, “Thank you, John Harper!”

They certainly got it right!! John has done so much for our community, our office, the RMA, CCAR, the Harper Mees Team, and of course his clients. With his blogging, John brings positive attention to our entire industry, his team and to Keller Williams!! John is always at the ready with his trusty camera and can get you online with a quote about the market conditions in a heartbeat!! John attends all of our Team Meetings, always adding his wisdom, and is always helpful if we ever need any help especially in the technology department. John has taken it upon himself to provide coffee on cold meeting days, a banner for any of us to use, as well as speak with agents about how they can improve their business through technology. He does all of this with a smile on his face and the Keller Williams Culture of sharing in his Heart of Gold!!
