John,

Roy is an asset and worth featuring on your blog. There is enough business to go around. But even more important is the fact that each person's name/reputation is their marketing "brand" of the future. The days where Realtors rely 100% on their broker's websites or marketing plans are coming to an end.

We are at the dawning of a new era in Real Estate driven by the internet and fueled by the individual Realtor. In order for agents to capture fresh leads they will need to resign themselves to the facts: search engine power is here to stay.

The days of Yellow Pages advertising and newspaper campaigns will always have a place in a marketing plan. The new truth is that these tried and true methods will be taking a backseat--way back-- to blogging in the very near future.

As we have discussed in the past, the rush is on. It will be interesting to see when the masses will finally understand what the growing population of bloggers already knows: Blogging is to marketing what email was to the internet. . .
