Walnut Creek Cheesecake Factory

Cheesecake_factoryThe Cheesecake Factory is exploring a possible move into downtown Walnut Creek, CA.

The location is the corner of Locust and Olympic Avenue in the abandoned Andronico’s location. What a great spot for the Cheesecake Factory!

Walnut_creek_caThe Cheesecake Factory’s location at the Pleasanton Mall is always packed and I suspect that this Walnut Creek location would be, too. I can’t imagine a better tenant for this space. The surrounding merchants like Palomas, The Container Store, Ross, Walnut Creek Theater, and others are probably dancing around the fountain in anticipation of a signed deal.

The Harper-Mees team has an interesting history with the Cheesecake Factory – we sold John Wright’s San Ramon home, when the Cheesecake Factory brought him aboard to manage their new production facility in Southern California. They were thrilled with the results the team produced and John wanted to send us a Cheesecake from the new facility in appreciation.

When John asked Tracey what type of cheesecake she wanted, she replied that she wanted a turtle cheesecake. John replied that they didn’t have one and wanted to know what the ingredients would be. Chocolate, caramel and pecans – like the turtle candies.

Well, shortly thereafter, the first Cheesecake Factory Turtle Cheesecake arrived and you can now find it on the menu!

Walnut Creek Cheesecake Factory – bring it on!

In the recent Walnut Creek Journal was an article saying the Walnut Creek Cheesecake Factory is a step closer to reality. There is some concern over design, lighting and signs, but, to me, it seems like all of that can be negotiated through.

Here’s to more cheesecake for Walnut Creekers!

The Walnut Creek (Host) Lions Club will be celebrating its 85th year of service to our community and the world. We will be featuring The Cheesecake Factory cheese cake at our 85th anniversary dinner at Zio Fraedo’s Restaurant on February 15, 2009 at 6PM.

Their cheesecake is absolutely great and their food terrific and plenty. We had some a meal and cheesecake recently at the Roseville restaurant.

The Lions want to thank Max Escuder and Rhet Collier for all their help and we hope everyone patronizes this great restaurant Bob Olin Walnut Creek Lions Club
