Women Initiating Safe Environments (WISE)

WISE is self-defense program developed in 1980 to help promote women defending themselves in life-threatening situation.

According to statistics WISE is quoting, in the U.S. there is a sexual assault every 3 minutes. One out of every three women over the age of 18 will be attacked at some time in her life.

Concern over this issue was brought to the forefront in the East Bay area with real estate professionals due to the recent activities of Daniel Duran. Duran, a convicted sex offender and rapist, was visiting real estate offices and open houses posing as an interested buyer. Duran is now behind bars but we don't know for how long.

In response to rising concerns in the real estate community, Pamela Ellis of Diversified Capital Funding is presenting a comprehensive program of self-defense for women in the East Bay, TriValley area. Pamela has a second degree blackbelt in Tae Kwan Do, a brown belt in Judo and was an assistant instructor in close quarters combat training for the U.S. Army.
