Marc Fontes & Craig Harper  San Ramon CAMarc Fontes, the Director of Economic Development for the City of San Ramon, CA, talked to local Realtors, The Harper Team, about the state of business in San Ramon and the impact the 700+ new jobs in Bishop Ranch will have on the area.

Fontes, said San Ramon is a great location for large and small business siting the demographics of San Ramon residents and the 35,000 people who work in San Ramon. He also noted that San Ramon has some of the lowest business license fees in the area and that even in the current economic climate, turnover for retail space is still good.

“Our conversation with Marc Fontes reiterated many of the comments and views made by Mayor Clarkson in our conversation with him”, said Craig Harper.. “Both of these gentlemen see San Ramon’s economic situation remaining strong despite the challenges of the economy and the issues facing the State of California. “

    It is good for business if the business license fees are low. That spurs the local economy more than anything else
