Copperopolis Fractional Ownership?

athena.jpgLast week John Harper and I were checking out our listing on 211 Athena in Copperopolis. This wonderful vacation home is located in a gated community called ‘The Villas’ at Calypso Bay at Lake Tulloch.

John and I were talking about what a great ‘fractional ownership’ property this would be. Fractional ownership is becoming more popular over the last couple of years; instead of buying a whole home you share the ownership of vacation property with unconnected individuals or if you would like, with friends and/or family.

CopperopolisYesterday, Paul Mees and I drove up to Copperopolis, California to check up on the property we have listed (211 Athena Place) at The Villas at Calypso Bay on Lake Tulloch.

We arrived in the brand new town of Copperoplis just in time for the ribbon cutting ceremony that officially opened the town. Copperopolis was built from scratch – a planned town just off Highway 4, intended to provide a solid commercial footing for the booming tourism in the area.

Copperopolis_californiaLake Tulloch is a fabulous recreational area that offers everything a family could want for a getaway from the city. In the winter, it is but a short drive to skiing and Yosemite is also just down the road.

When we took the pic of the Copperoplis sign, we talked to a couple of local residents that were posting a garage sale sign. They stated in no uncertain terms that they lived in paradise.
