At last Friday's BNI (Business Networking International) meeting in Pleasanton, CA, I saw chiropractor, Dr. Anita Haque, in action. One of our attendees needed some chiropractic work as he was experiencing some neck pain, and since he happened to be her husband, Don, Anita went to work on him. 

With a couple of gentle chiropractic adjustments to Don's neck, Dr. Haque was able to get her hubby back to his peak performance self.

If you met Dr Haque on the street, you wouldn't take her for a chiropractor. She is petite and a very gentle soul - that is exactly the type of care she brings to her chiropractic patients - gentle & effective. It was fun to see this delicate chiropractor in action on a very muscular guy - Don is a physical fitness trainer.

I’m back in Warner Robins, GA visiting my dad. This is my first trip back since my mother’s passing.

I went with my dad for his chiropractic appointment today. Our family has been going to Gosline Chiropractic Clinic in Warner Robins for over 35 years. My friend Greg Gosline owns and runs Gosline Chiropractic Clinic.

Greg and his father, Gene, worked the practice together for years and before that our family just went to see Gene. It surprised me when Greg decided to follow his father and become a Chiropractor – in those days, the 70’s, that was considered pretty “establishment.”

Greg is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. He is soft spoken, level-headed and often, kind to a fault.

In the early days of our relationship with the Goslines, there weren’t very many Chiropractors in Warner Robins, GA – the community was only about 20K. Then when all the military base closures happened, Warner Robins grew and grew. I hear that the population of the area now exceeds 100K. Along with the growth came more and more chiropractors and chiropractic clinics.

Greg tells me that competition and changes in insurance have changed the nature of his business.

I consult with small businesses on Internet Marketing & Promotion and have advised several chiropractors that they could reap great rewards if they reformatted their sites to take advantage of how the Internet works. None have taken me up on the suggestion. It’s too bad because any chiropractor that did would own Google search results in their community.

This morning we were up early to attend the weekly Business Networking International meeting in Pleasanton, CA at Vics All Star Restaurant. Ginny Mees has been a member of this BNI group for several years now.

Tracey and I (John) were along to introduce ourselves as members of the expanded team and to assist Ginny with her presentation. I got to run the PowerPoint presentation, the video camera, and take a few still shots all at the same time.

Only two of the still shots were decent enough to share here – I’ve learned that people only like flattering shots of themselves and it seems I am aways snapping the shutter when eyes are closed or mouths are opened.

The Pleasanton BNI group is very active and has been the source of millions of dollars of business for Ginny. I took time to collect cards. Here is who was in attendance today:

Ginny Mees did a quick presentation to demonstrate The Harper-Mees Team’s range of skills and experience.

All in all a great morning with the Plesanton Business Networking International group – except for the 5:45 wake up call!
