Pyramid Breweries Walnut Creek California

Pyramid_breweries_walnut_creekPyramid Breweries of Walnut Creek CA On Tap for Football

Last night, Paul, Ginny and I were at the Crow Canyon Country Club in Danville, CA for their Monday Night Football gig.

The Crow Canyon Country Club grill is usually closed on Mondays, but this year they thought they would try a few Monday Night Football gatherings. The food buffet included hot dogs, barbecue pulled pork, salad and nachos.

Pyramid Brewery was on hand to help quench the thirst and provide some door prizes. We met Howie Kaplan Pyramid Breweries account executive. We talked to Howie about our (Keller Williams Realty Danville) upcoming move to the Rose Garden and asked if we could get Pyramid Breweries to provide some liquid gold for us.

I also talked a bit with Howie about Pyramid Breweries’ web site and suggested they add a blog to help promote themselves on their fine brews on the Internet.

Crow Canyon Country Club Sea Lions - Danville CA

If you live in Blackhawk California, you may have noticed all the screaming and yelling last Saturday, and wondered what was going on at the Blackhawk Country Club pool. Well, it was nothing more than the tightest swim meet between two cross town rivals: Blackhawk Country Club Hox and the 3-year county Champion, Crow County Country Club Sea Lions.

The Blackhawk Relays were the previous weekend, with Blackhawk beating Crow Canyon Country Club by a narrow margin. This past weekend, Blackhawk jumped out ahead, and the two Danville rival swim teams continued to go back and forth all morning, until the meet culminated with the Free Relays….and Crow Canyon Sea Lions won the meet by a relay or two.

The swim meet was so intense that many county times were posted as all the swimmers on both sides swam their hearts out, from the 6 and under swimmers to the teenager.

Crow Canyon Coaches Dan, Ethan, Dave and Jake sent the following message to their swimmers illustrating how hard their kids worked:“Congratulations to the Mighty Sea Lions. Today was the best example of how a team stuck together and triumphed over amazing odds. We are so proud of every swimmer that swam today (Thank you to the 13-14s that showed up after water polo to help us pull out a victory). You showed the true heart of Champions today. The Mighty Sea Lions are a special team (family). The younger swimmers cheering on the older kids during the relays at the end of the meet was truly inspirational and really showed how the Mighty Sea Lions support each other.”

Swimming builds the lungs, elongates the muscles, reinforces the fortitude and strengthens the heart!

Living in Danvile, California

Danville_mt_diabloWe relocated to Danville, CA in the East Bay and love it.

We have lived in Danville for almost 10 years. We live in Shadow Hills in the Greenbrook area; a neighborhood that was built in the late seventies with wide streets, lots of mature trees, parks, bike and hiking paths. Most of the homes have three car garages and big lots.

We love the fact that most of the homes have been remodeled; owners have a great pride of ownership with nicely maintained homes and manicured yards.

The elementary, middle and high schools are part of The San Ramon Valley School Unified District; the district has the most schools in the state recognized for high student academic achievement.

Osage Park is one of our favorite parks in the area; great for jogging or playing tennis; every day you will see children and adults playing baseball, soccer or Lacrosse. There is a play area for the little ones and a barbecue area for anyone to use.

When your children are into sports there is a wide variety of sports in the East Bay they can choose from, like: soccer, hockey, lacrosse, tennis and there are some fabulous local swim teams. For those who play golf, Crow Canyon Country Club is a beautiful club with a great golf course in a gated community. Crow Canyon Country Club’s membership also includes a fitness facility and 13 tennis courts; the grill and bar is a fun place to have a drink or a quality dinner with family, friends or other members. For formal events the restaurant upstairs is phenomenal with a beautiful view of the golf course, the hills and Mount Diablo.

Most of the neighborhoods have community pools and tennis courts; the average HOA fees are about $50 a month. We love the HOA-parties in the neighborhood, like: Santa Claus or the Easter bunny for the children, Halloween and summer barbeques.

Relocating to and living in the East Bay is the best!
