In that post, I asked, “What the heck is Feng Shui and should I be scared?” Tongue & cheek of course!
When we moved into the Keller Williams Realty digs in Danville a few weeks ago, Cathy Lee of CLDesign Services advised me to Feng Shui the office.
According to Cathy, we needed a green wall, a sparkly bowl, a crystal or two, art work… the list goes on.
Well, I painted the wall hung a print by my son, and picked up a tall chest and a sparkly bowl to throw change and keys in. I’m no Feng Shui-er, but hey – I put our listing flyers in the top drawer as advised and had two in escrow in the first week.
Of course, there have been lots of stories over the past couple of years of desperate home owners burying a statue of St. Joseph in the back yard to help produce a sale.
It’s enough to make one wonder if I’m drinking too much coffee over at Bittersweet in the mornings. Shouldn’t their oatmeal counteract the caffeine?

Keller Williams Realty Danville California - Grand Opening
Last Thursday night was the big Grand Opening Party for Keller Williams Realty in our new offices at the Rose Garden (760 Camino Ramon, Danville, CA).
What a party and what a welcome from the community and the Rose Garden merchants. Esin, Amicis, Bittersweet and Amaranta helped with the food preparations.
Navlet’s loaned us some hose to clean up construction dust from the sidewalks and parking lot. They also loaned us some plants to spruce up the place.
The Balloonman provided the balloon decor. Cathy Lee from CLDesign Services provide centerpieces for the tables and Julie Giampoli from Showcase Your Place provided flower arrangements.
A special shout out to Howie Kaplan and Pyramid Breweries for their liquid gold libations.
We must have had 300 to 400 people come by and wish us well.
Ever the networker, I used the opportunity to distribute a few post cards on our gorgeous listing at 3661 Treat Boulevard in Concord.
Our fellow Realtors, mortgage brokers and other professionals from the industry were impressed with the new digs. More than a few were surprised that Keller Williams is expanding in this down market.
The party was an over-the-top success. We want to thank everyone that helped and all that attended.
We feel that this new location will be another big plus for Keller Williams Realty in Danville.

Keller Williams Realty - Alamo, Danville, San Ramon, Dublin
Keller Williams Realty Danville Profitable & Growing in Tough Times
Keller Williams Realty in Danville, CA is moving into their expanded office space this week at the Rose Garden (Sycamore Valley Road & Camino Ramon). The new space represents a 30% increase in office space for the Keller Williams Market Center that serves Alamo, Danville, San Ramon and Dublin, California.
Team Leader, Kristin White, reports that 8 new agents have joined the Danville office in the last couple of months. All of these agents are leaving other broker offices to join KW.
Why are agents joining Keller Williams?
One new agent saw her cost of doing business drop about $1200 a month. In these challenging times, Realtors are becoming just as value conscious as today’s home buyers.
Take a look at how Keller Williams is out-pacing the industry!
While the National Association of REALTORS® has shrunk by 6 percent, Keller Williams has only experienced a 2 percent adjustment in agent count
While other companies and offices are selling out or closing their doors, we opened 25 offices in the last 12 months
While other companies are raising fees and charging their agents more in order to keep the doors open, the vast majority of our offices are profitable
And, while agents with other companies worry about their financial security, we have given back more than $32 million in profits to our agents over the last year
Gary Keller, Chairman of the Board, and his team continue to buck the real estate industry trends with the Keller Williams’ agent-centric business model.

The Dog Danville California
What’s a starving real estate agent to do when he is rushing between two meetings and hasn’t had any protein for the day?
I was at Peet’s in Crow Canyon Commons this morning for an early meeting with Mary Ann Pate – A Timely Solution and on my way to Keller Williams Realty in Danville looking for a bagel when I came upon The Dog.
I’ve stopped at The Dog once before and decided a couple of naked dogs with spicy mustard would be better than carbs to start the day.
The Dog is located at 110 Hartz Avenue in Danville, California. They serve up sausages and smoothies. The Dog does a brisk business with the students from San Ramon Valley High School across the street.
This poor fellow behind the counter didn’t know what to think about a blogging real estate agent taking a quick pic of him. The world is full of surprises!
Love that Russian Mustard! Give The Dog a try when you’re in Danville.
