Keller Williams Realty Remains in the Black

housing-up-trend.jpgKeller Williams Realty Growing – Not in Debt

Keller Williams Realty is a $billlion company that is debt-free.

Keller Williams Realty at their recent MegaCamp presentation said they remain in the black in spite of the challenges in the real estate industry.

According to KW, Keller Williams is the only major international real estate company based in the U.S. that is in the black. All of the big real estate brokerages are being hammered by the down turn in real estate.

Keller Williams leads with revenue from the corporate offices to the market centers to the local real estate agents. Our office – Keller Williams Realty in Danville, CA – is moving offices next month.

We’re expanding and we’re moving to a better location and more up-scale space. All of this is being covered without going into debt. Our market center, is leading with revenue not debt.

Keller Williams Realty provides an unprecedented opportunity for people seeking a profitable career in real estate. KW is agent centric and offers superb training and profit sharing.

Keller Williams Realty is moving their Danville Market Center to the Rose Garden at the corner of Sycamore Valley Road and Camino Ramon.

Hm_officeYesterday, 3 of us met with Kristin White, KW Team Leader, and other Realtors in our market center to choose our office spaces.

We decided to take the largest office available as we will be working with 4 to 6 team members in the space a great deal of the time. Our office will not be full of desks. We will have countertops to handle 3 to 4 computers and a large conference table that will hold 6.

The conference table will be wired for laptops and we will have a large plasma screen on the wall for presentations to clients.

Kw_patioOur office has windows on two sides and easy access to the espresso machine and the outdoor patio which is huge. KW will have a gas grill on the patio for those TGIF parties that will become a regular event.

Work on the Rose Garden office space is proceeding quickly. We expect to have an open house in late October or early November. Craig’s band – Still Rockin’ – will provide live music for the event.

Agent Training Never Stops

keller williams real estate danville san ramonOne of the things we hear over and over again when agents join Keller Williams Realty is how they value the emphasis on agent training. In any given month at our Danville, CA Market Center, we will have close to 30 training classes offered. All of this training is free for Keller Williams associates.

Home sellers and buyers in the Danville and San Ramon areas can rest assured that their KW agent is receiving some of the best training in the real estate industry. In fact, KW has specialized training for the many diverse agent business models. So there is training not just for becoming a real estate expert, but also training to build a successful business.

The Keller Williams business model has received national attention and acclaim – most recently from the Yale School of Management and the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Brian Tayan, research associate with the case writing office of the Stanford Graduate School of Business, assisted with a case study about Keller Williams. “I was truly impressed with the quality of the people and the organization. The culture and the economic models work in conjunction with each other. The culture does not exist for its own sake,” Tayan says.

The Keller Williams case study is slated as part of Stanford’s core MBA curriculum for 2007–08, and made its way to the Yale School of Management this year.

The Keller Williams business model is agent-centric, meaning the focus is on the agent’s business and success not the broker’s. More on the Keller Williams business model can be found here.

KW MegaCamp 2007

Megacamp keller williamsI came across a post today on The Real Estate Tomato that grabbed me by the throat. Jim Cronin author of the Tomato has been invited to speak at Keller Williams’ MegaCamp 2007.

“Mega Camp 2007 is the exclusive event where top producers and Keller Williams Realty leaders converge for an extraordinary week of learning and networking. Here, you will discover the newest tools and answers to your business challenges presented by fast-moving mastermind panels, top guest speakers and real estate industry leaders, including Gary Keller, co-founder and chairman of the board of Keller Williams Realty International and a New York Times bestselling author.”

Jim’s going to be speaking on Blogging. I notice that Dustin Luther is also speaking. An there is Craig Proctor in the mix as well.

The fact that all three of these names appear in the speakers roster says one thing to me -LOOK OUT KW REAL ESTATE! And here is why—-

Jim Cronin is the FDR of real estate blogging. His “post in every pot” program has fed the hunger for real “nuts & bolts” blogging advice. Real estate agents around the country visit his garden everyday for something fresh to add to their blogging pot.

Dustin Luther is the Al Gore of the real etate blogosphere – he invented it. Well, not quite, we all know who really did. Dustin’s neck deep in stealth strategy and technology to become the most connected LinkedIn person on the planet. His RainyCityGuide set the early standard for what a local real estate blog should be.

And then there’s Craig Proctor. Craig Proctor is the Lee Iacocca of real estate marketing. Proctor’s system of direct response marketing for real estate has lifted many an agent from obscurity into the broad light of day in their local markets.

I’ve been reading the Tomato for about a year. I’ve been to one of Dustin’s presentations. We, the Harper Team, are part of the Proctor coaching system.

To see these three names together – well – September is going to be one hell of a month at Keller Williams Market Centers around the country. Don’t miss these three speakers. If you synergize what these three have to offer – your business will reward you beyond your wildest dreams.
